Engines
With the racing
heritage of the design in mind, the Z1 is powered by
the 300HP Mercury Horizon motor coupled with
a Bravo 3 Outdrive.
This standard engine package pushes the Z1
to an eye-burning 70MPH.
350 MAG MPI
The 350 MAG MPI Horizon engine is designed to let you
spend
less time on maintance and more time on the water.
They're virtually maintance- free, thanks to
advanced features like closed cooling five year coolant,
hose clamps that never need adjustment ceramic-coated exhausted
elbows and manifolds, and a convenient engine flush system.
MX 6.2 MPI
This 6.2 liter engineering marval weighs substantially
less than the 7.4 liter it replaces, 140 pounds
less to be exact; yet it provides considerable more
power. The MX 6.2 liter MPI sports precision componants capable of
withstanding all that extra power. These include a cast iron block
a forged - steel crankshaft, a custom - ground roller
follower camshaft designed for low friction and
pistons made of a high strength aluminum alloy.
It delivers big-time power, performance and durability in a surprisingly
small package.
496 8.1 MAG
The Mercruiser 496 MAG offers more perfromance than ever
before. Standard features include: Smart Start, Shift
Protection, Brass sea water pump housing improves life
and better resists damage from running dry, 316 Stainless
Steel dry-joint exhaust elbows better resist high temperature
and corrosion and improve exhaust flow for more power.
PCM 555 sequential fuel injection and high
energy distributorless ignition system ensure reliable
starts and outstanding performance, year after year. Sequential
Multi-Port Fuel Injection provides easy starts, cold or hot,
and automatically adjusts for changes in temperature, weather, or
altitude for terrific performance in any environment
